We’re very proud to announce The Xth Baikal International Festival of Documentary, Popular-Science and Educational Films “People and Environment” has awarded Connecting Delta Cities for the best documentary film. The festival was held in Irkutsk, Russia, from 7-10 October 2011.

The documentary version of the film was screened at the 14th Wlodzimierz Puchalski International Nature Film Festival in Lodz, Poland. The festival was held from 21-24 september 2011.

Connecting Delta Cities wil be included in a DVD package which can be used for
educational and training purposes, conference screening, capacity building activities, and as advocacy tool.

This DVD package includes 6 topics: IRWM, Climate Change, Water Pollution, Water Quality and Waste Water, Water Harvesting, Recharge and Reuse, Groundwater Management and Water, Sanitation, Hygiene
The videos will be accompanied with manuals, case studies and a tutorial on how to use videos in training.
500 copies will be distributed without charges among the network of TheWaterChannel, Cap-Net, GWP,
WGF and RAIN.

The package will be developed by The Water Channel. Connecting Delta Cities is frequently viewed (+ 11.000!) on the channels website.

7th IFF Water, Sea & Oceans

Connecting Delta Cities (documentary version) was screened on the 7th International Film Festival Water, sea and the oceans.

International film exhibition “Water, sea & the oceans” is an exhibition of documentary films on a particular topic. Its objective is to present and award new films about the world of salt and fresh water, contributing to development of film reflecting the life in water environment and help to enlargement of ideas about environmental protection of water.

The festival was held in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic, November 25th and 26th, 2010
